What to do now

Gather bills and roof access notes, then request a visit.

  1. Find a recent electricity bill and note your retailer or utility.
  2. Stay off the roof — photos from the ground are enough for a first look.
  3. Note whether you want new solar, a battery, repairs or an expansion.
  4. Have HOA or condo board contacts ready if approval is required.
  5. Send the request form.
  6. Ask about contractor licences and utility interconnection before signing.
